The Four Evangelists (View of the chapel vaulting)(1447-49) is a Fresco by the an Early Italian Renaissance painter Fra Angelico. In the vaults of the chapel, the Evangelists are suspended on clouds, amid the starry blue heavens. Their luminous faces and pale garments seem suffused with incandescent light as they compose the Gospels of Christ's life. The Fresco is now in the Cappella Niccolina, Palazzi Pontifici, Vatican.
